Tweed and an eye catching jewelry piece. Need I say more? Review below
What: Collection Lena Jeweled pumps by J.Crew
When: Winter 2016
How (Material): Wool upper, leather lining and sole
Why (Pros):
- Look: Very cute, circa 70’s type of feel. My husband was not too crazy about the tweed and overall look, but I think it’s a piece that stands out if you pair it with a simple outfit and neutral accessories. I’ve paired mine with white jeans, a red sweater dress and a tan pencil skirt so far.
- Comfort: As comfortable as you’d expect to be with this type of high heels. I read some reviews on the J.Crew website suggesting the shoes were very uncomfortable… I guess it may depend on your tolerance for high heels. I would not run in them but have worn these beauties for over 5 hours straight and was not excessively sore. The leather sole adds a cushion (versus with man-made sole) in my opinion, then again your experience may be different.
- Quality: Great quality. I always appreciate leather on the sole, feels so much better over long periods (again, my own opinion). I have this strange urge to pull the jewelry just to see how well it’s glued on but I shall contain myself 🙂
- Sizing: True to size.
Why Not (Cons): The price…
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper! What do you say?
