What: Elsie D’Orsay pumps in snakeskin printed leather by J.Crew
When: Winter 2016
How (Material): Leather upper and lining, man-made sole
Why (Pros):
- Look: Sophisticated shoes that can be paired as neutrals for almost any outfits. The heels remove the casualness of the flat version, though both are equally cute (see flats reviewed by Gigi Gone Shopping and Easy Petite Looks and a pairing by Economy of Style). I particularly love the glitter detailing in the lining.
- Comfort: Comfortable pair, the pair is a little slippery on carpets (typical with artificial soles) but nothing crazy.
- Quality: Good quality leather upper and lining, adorable glittery details. The artificial sole is a deal breaker for me, but it works here.
- Sizing: True to size.
Why Not (Cons): The price…and the man-made sole. Hard to justify a high price tag for man-made soles…
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper…if you don’t mind the artificial sole (and you get it on pop-back as the pair sold out quickly). I returned mine. What do you say?
