I have a thing for ankle-strap shoes and booties and the caged bow pumps by J.Crew looked too good to pass on. My review below.
What: Collection Caged Bow pumps by J.Crew
Season: Winter 2014
Material: Satin and suede upper, 100% leather lining and sole. Some elastic fabric to tie the shoes
Quality: Very good, as far a material goes. Was not too crazy about he tying fabric, just seemed off to me. The shoes are gorgeous otherwise, I love the subtle contrast between the navy satin againts the black suede. And the caged look makes the pair stand out.
Fit: True to size. Loved the heel height , the caged look…very cute, but the tying ribbon…
Sissi’s verdict: I just could not get past the tying ribbon…seemed like some type of elastic material and it was a deal break. I would advise to substitute the ribbon for something else, maybe some leather lacets. At that price, I decided to return. Do you have these cute pumps? Please share!
I was looking forward to the Roland Mouret line for Banana Republic…well I received an invitation this morning to check it out and…the items I coveted are not available in my size anymore! Amazing 😦 😦 Oh well, maybe there will be some when the collection hits the stores. I was looking forward to the colorblock one-shoulder dress and the colorblock long sleeved dress. The black mesh with knee length is also cute!

I received an email regarding the 2014 pre-fall Saint Laurent collection at Saks Fifth.
Well I cannot afford any of the items, but I notice the trend is for studded shoes, pointed toes with extra high heels and ankles (both boot and ankle strap). Also, it looks like a return of the square tote.
Check the collection for yourself at Saks.
Few of my favorites below:

New York Fashion Week is underway for Fall Winter 2014 presentation…when we are about to get to Spring 2014! In any case, I am not particularly impressed by the offerings at J.Crew, main items to catch my attention are the pencil and knee-length wool shorts (nicely mixed with deep burgundy!).
However, I am really excited about the shoes!! Particularly, the blue pumps above and the fancy strappy ones below:
Speaking of shoes, am looking forward to the Spring collection at J.Crew…shoes look promising per below. Also, waiting on the lime dress with front slit…lime green for spring? Check!

So, the arrivals are up at J.Crew and my wishlist is on…Free shipping on all orders, and continuing sales on end of season items with code HAPPYSALE.
Shoes: Collection Natasha Floral pumps and the Evie Midheel sandals–> why no size 11 for the pumps? Cute mid-heeled sandals, remind me of some sandals I had during my freshman year in college…
Skirts: Collection Lace-stripe silk skirt and Collection circle in nightgarden floral —> seriously, where did the prices come from???
Honorable mention for the Trellis skirt and the Floral jacquard mini…
Dresses: the puff-sleeved in super 120 —> so cute, wondering what does a bright hydrangea look like in real life
