Keeping up with recycling garments from my own closet, this week I went after pencil skirts, blouses and tees. Let me know which outfit you like best!

Stopped by the Crew for the promo on full price items and saw the asymmetrical houndstooth skirt and matching regent blazer. My review below.
Sissi’s Weekly Review – 17th September 2014
What: Asymmetrical houndstooth skirt and matching regent blazer by J.Crew
Season: Fall 2014
Material: 100% wool outer, 100% poly lining for both
Quality: Excellent. The wool is warm and high quality. The colors are pretty dark, perfect for Fall and Winter. May seem a little matronly, depending on how you pair it.
Fit: True to size. If you are between sizes at the Crew, I’d advise to go with your larger size because of the straight A-line. I LOVE the zippers as they add attitude to the simple cut. Am stalking the cream and burgundy colors for the sales 🙂 I feel the skirt (or the blazer) will complement any of those vibrantly colorful tops from the crew, a nice toner aside from the usual blacks, greys and blues.
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper…the promo is good but you may want to hold for sale, if it lasts 🙂 Have you tried on either item? Please share!
Have not done well this week as far as posting…Below, some outfit inspirations for this week. I really like the stripe skirt from the crew, it’s simple yet fresh and it pairs well with the fuschia! Let me know which outfit you like best!
1. blazer/skirt/top(Zara,old) — 2. top(Loft, old)/boots/jeans — 3. odille skirt(old)/boots— 4. sweater (also worn here)/tee/retail tweed skirt (also seen here, factory version here)
This week’s outfits mainly comprised of sweaters (yes, it’s indeed cold outside), boots (review of the Tory Burch boots next week!) and jackets.

On a side note, if you are thinking of purchasing the J.Crew sweater jacket, I’d highly recommend. It is very warm and the shape is similar to a leather jacket but made of wool 😉 Love the zippers and buttons!! Would have gone with pink (more stylish in my opinion) but the navy is more practical so navy I purchased. And pulled everything together with the stripe schoolboy blazer and a scarf 🙂
