Review: Cole Haan Kinley Short Boots
A random purchase that has been my go-to with the heavy snows we have experienced this winter. Unfortunately, the Kinley booties are only available in black at the Cole Haan online store so you may want to checkout the Cole Haan store in person…or this ebay sale for a size 10 (disclaimer: I am NOT affiliated to the vendor in any way, found the link via a random Google search). A link to the longer, more conventional version here.
My review of the short boots below.
Pros: waterproof (yay, I was very skeptical but they hold up very well!), comfortable, can wear all day long, nice almond color, great quality on leather, flat heels
Cons: the fit at the ankles is not my favorite. Compared to the MK Arley, the ankles in these Kinley are pretty loose and no option to tighten…so your socks will show up, which may be good for some and a deal breaker for others
Material: breathable and waterproof leather (whatever that means) with rubber sole
Fit: true-to-size with room for heavy socks; loose fit at the ankles
Sissi’s Verdict: the store was offering a 50% promo with extra 20% sale coupon at the time of purchase, so the final price was a bargain for the quality and through wear during winter storms, the booties are a definite keeper!
Weekend Outfit: Pinks and Yellow Vlisco Print – 24 Dec 2013
Hi all, this was my outfit to a convention this weekend. Let me know what you think! The print is a mixture of green, yellow, pink and navy blue. I do not recall the name of the fabric but will do some research. It is a Vlisco super wax print.
