JCrew skirt/Scarf/ON top(old)/RL boots (old)
Here, paired with two pastels: cyan blue (an old H&M sweater) and flame (… I know, really). Purchased the Collection floral brocade skirt from J.Crew on popback last winter, but available in factory version here (much shorter as well).
I was not too crazy about the shape of this skirt initially but it has grown on me (a fitted top balances out the wide bottom in my opinion). The colors of the skirt are gorgeous in real life, not sure if the factory version lives up to the retail colors, but if you own the factory version, please share your review!
Purchased the Quinn Ankle pumps a while back on one of the promos but was only able to wear yesterday. If you are considering the pumps for Cyber Monday (or subsequent days), my review below:
Pros: I love ankle shoes and the straps (cuffs 🙂 ) on these are very comfortable, they are not too tight on the ankle either. The leather is of great quality, buttery and all (whatever that means 🙂 ). The heel is a very manageable 3 1/2 inches, they actually feel lower than three inches, very comfortable and could be worn all day. The color is a pretty blue. Fit is true-to-size with a tiny room so you could do half a size down if you like a tighter fit but I believe TTS is the way to go.
Cons: The color may be difficult to pair but I personally like it
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper!
Do you agree? Please share! The other pumps I like from the sale section are the Leather-Bow Ankle Strap.
If you have tried them on, let me know if to bite or not. They look pretty cute on Pink Peonies.
During a recent trip to my local thrift shop, I found these Tory Burch booties at less than $100. They were a size 10 but I was surprised they fit me so I guess they ran larger than regular size.
Pro: stylish, real animal calf (cruel 😦 ), nice leopard print, leather all over; high heel is balanced with wedge near the toes so they are comfortable though I would not run in them; purchased second-hand (really new because they were never worn….wondering what was orignal full price?)
Cons: a little tight at ankle
Sissi’s verdict: a keeper 🙂
Do you own leopard booties? Any suggestion on pairing?
My dear LJ gifted me some fierce booties: the Michael Kors Arley Leather Ankle Boots. They remind me of motorcycle boots, and I love them! I did not own MK shoes prior to these, so I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the boots. If you are thinking of purchasing MK boots, below is a review of the Arlet Ankle boots.
Pros: very comfortable, soft leather, in-the-moment style, hip, flat heels
Cons: the golden MK logo (for some it is good but I have never understood nor liked big logos on shoes)
Verdict: Will keep! Thank you so much dear LJ.
