Review: Pinot in grey
What: Pinot embellished dress by Byron Lars for Anthropologie
When: Winter 2016
How (Material): Polyester everywhere! This is usually a big no in my book, but the dress is simply gorgeous.
Why (Pros):
- Look: The look is simple, a fitted dress with modest sleeves. But with Byron Lars, the secret is all in the details and oh my did they deliver on this one! Just take a look at my pictures below and judge for yourself. Looking forward to wearing this to a party!
- Comfort: Comfortable but very fitted. It reached right at my knees so I would say it falls right below knees on regular frames, as shown per the Anthropologie picture below.
- Quality: Great quality. Detailing work is outstanding!
- Sizing: True to size but you may want to size up for looser fit. However, I have sized up for another dress (that I shall review next) and I’d recommend you stick with your regular size.
Why Not (Cons): The steep price tag, oh my! However, with the 30% promotion going on you may save $300 on the full price.
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper, if you can afford it! What do you say?
Review: Gilded garden skirt
Looks so pretty…my review below:
Review: Gilded Bryonia
What: Gilded Bryonia Sheath by Anthropologie
Material: 100% cotton outer with glitter accents. Made in India.
Quality: Excellent…minus the annoying zipper that tends to pull on the back of the dress! You’ll have to be really careful zipping down your dress otherwise, great quality materials.
Fit: True to size but slightly tight on hip area if you are hourglass. I sized up for a loose fit at hip, but need to tailor the top as it is too big 😦
Sissi’s verdict: Keeper!!

Review: Jimmy Choo Lyon Glitter Lame Kitten
Very sorry for taking this long. Below is a review of these gorgeous and comfy pumps by The Choo!
Sissi’s Weekly Review – 12 November 2014
What: Lyon Glitter Lame Kitten by Jimmy Choo
Season: Summer 2014
Material: Glitter Lamé upper, leather lining and sole, padded cushion
Quality: Excellent. Just beautifully made. The glitter is fab without looking cheap, just the perfect amount and no powdery leftover (one thing I do not like about typical glitter shoes). The heels are very low and covered with some type of metallic cover (hopefully will not chip). Open toe is good, not overly exposing the toes 🙂 LOVE!
Fit: Small, need to size up. The 11 was really a size 41 EU so was too small for me, the Saks store was able to enlarge the shoes to fit my big feet though. The shoes were so comfortable I wore them from 2PM to midnight non stop, even danced and all.
Sissi’s Verdict: Keeper!!! Price was high but soooo worth it for the wedding 😉
