Season: Spring/Summer 2015

Material: Canvas upper, jute heel

Quality: Very good! The canvas is of a heavy cotton (or feels like cotton); loving the quality of the cork heel as well.

Fit: I’d say the shoes are true to size. I love the peep-toe look and the crossing of the straps, adds a nice edge 😉

Sissi’s verdict: Keeper! Do you agree? Please share!

UPDATE:

I have realised that the version of the sandals on the Tory Burch website has a mixture of jute and cork for the heel.  Mine was simply jute…see below image courtesy of Tory Burch website.

Reviews: Majesty Peacoat in Stadium Cloth

A great deal on the Majesty Peacoat.  I have the light grey from previous seasons and have purchased the navy and decadent red during the 50% “HAPPYSALE” promo this season.  This promo is still active until tomorrow.

Pros: this is a classic, I’ve worn my peacoat with pretty much everything. No bulk even when you layer underneath.  The golden buttons and cut match up well.  I love the contrasting colors between the exterior wool and the interior polyester. The decadent red and a navy interior, while the navy wool has a rich red interior.  And was I surprised to see that the light grey from previous seasons has a matching interior but depending on the angle, it turns orange as shown below 🙂 nice surprise!

Cons: original price but with promo and the extra 50% off, it was worth it

Material: 79% wool and 21% polyester

Fit: true-to-size, the fit is slightly loose, not designed to be tight (unlike the Lady Day coat or the Metro coat).

Sissi’s verdict: keeper, if you are able to get it with extra 50% off!  Do you agree? Please share! You can see the top on Long Leggy Loving and its factory version reviewed by Gigi.

Phillip Lim @ Target Unveiled – 24 Sept 2013

Finally got to visit my local Target to checkout the Phillip Lim collection….disappointment.  I did not wait in line (should have?), which explains why there was nothing much left in store for the women’s line.  The men’s however boasted blazers – ‘Sports coat, miss, not blazers’ someone told me….really? 🙂 – shirts , shoes and sweaters.

The leftovers on the women’s line were polyester tops and dresses.  The non-polyester items I was looking forward to, and may consider purchasing online, were the BOOM sweater, the orange leopard bag and the Navy/Green pullover sweater.   Pictures of my store disappointment below.

Were you able to visit Target for the Phillip Lim collection? How was your experience?
