Rainy sunday called for some fierce attitude 🙂
dress (Nordstrom, old) — boots — Jacket (Express, old)
For the past week, I have stared at the screen on the elevator leading to my office desk with its countdown for the opening of a Nordstrom Rack store on the block of 17th and Chestnut on Friday 24th October 2014 at 9.00AM (oh please). Great fanfare as this article can testify. Well, today, we got even bigger news…Century 21, NYC’s best kept secret (so they say), is planning to open its first out of town (outside of NY that is) store here in Philly on Thursday 23rd October 2014 (no time? How outrageous! 😛 ) Interesting coincidence, or not, we shall see.  Either way, my pockets are still recovering so I shall try not to get too close.  The original article from Philly.com where the author is serenading us into shopping and shopping well to keep the great items coming 🙂 if only she could keep my pockets full as well.

In other news, and budget friendly announcements for some, rumor has it that Forever 21 is also about to take on the Center City fever…along with Neiman Marcus Last Call…Not sure what is attracting all these popular stores into Center City but we shall find out soon enough. Â Are you excited? Please share!
Colorblocking is back with a shoe fanfare! If you are into the style, some options below!
I am a shoe size 11 (EU 42) and it is a challenge to find shoes that fit my ‘big’ feet. As a result, the rule I follow is to either buy it if I find it, or forget it because it won’t be back 🙂
So, I was pleasantly surprised to receive the following notification from Nordstrom: they have extended their line for out of the norm feet 🙂 (over size 10 and under size 5).
Well, so many choices and now I have a headache 🙂 You can checkout the shoe haven at Nordstrom.  Some of my picks below, simply click on the image to be redirected. Let me know if you fall for the temptation, and which shoes you select 😉
I seem to be on a TB roll…not for long, no worries 🙂 .  Ordered the Kiernan Riding boots during the Nordstrom sale (the Almond color is not available at Nordstrom anymore but you can purchase directly at Tory Burch (or full price as am posting this at Neiman Marcus)
Sissi’s Review:
Pros: high quality leather (why does it say veg leather…?), love the simple style, glamorous T logo, very comfortable, rich almond color, low heel, leather and fabric lining, leather and rubber sole
Cons: price (even with coupon and sales, still pricey…Aldo shoes offer similar alternatives at a fraction of the cost, though the quality is not the same), runs a little large so would advise to go half a size down if you prefer a true fit
Sissi’s verdict: A keeper if you have the money to spare; otherwise, get the look for less at Aldo (minus the prestigious logo).
You can take a look at very cute pairings of the gorgeous boots by SoutherCurlsAndPearls here and here (my favorite: HERE…the brown and the green match up beautifully!)
