Visit Philly – Sckullkill River Trail

Always relaxing to enjoy the view along the Sckullkill river trail, close to the boathouse trail.

Weekend: Spruce Street Harbor Park

Relaxing date night at Spruce Street Harbor Park, on the Delaware River waterfront. We enjoyed the swan boat trip, the live music and the delicious waffle ice cream sandwiches.  If you’re in the area and looking for an affordable and relaxing time out, please give it a try.

As far as outfit, I wore this old red cotton voile dress from J.Crew. Was glad to fit it again, few more pounds to lose though!

Philly Style: Century 21, Norstrom Rack, Forever 21 and Maybe NM Last Call?

For the past week, I have stared at the screen on the elevator leading to my office desk with its countdown for the opening of a Nordstrom Rack store on the block of 17th and Chestnut on Friday 24th October 2014 at 9.00AM (oh please). Great fanfare as this article can testify. Well, today, we got even bigger news…Century 21, NYC’s best kept secret (so they say), is planning to open its first out of town (outside of NY that is) store here in Philly on Thursday 23rd October 2014 (no time? How outrageous! 😛 ) Interesting coincidence, or not, we shall see.  Either way, my pockets are still recovering so I shall try not to get too close.  The original article from Philly.com where the author is serenading us into shopping and shopping well to keep the great items coming 🙂 if only she could keep my pockets full as well.

In other news, and budget friendly announcements for some, rumor has it that Forever 21 is also about to take on the Center City fever…along with Neiman Marcus Last Call…Not sure what is attracting all these popular stores into Center City but we shall find out soon enough.  Are you excited? Please share!
