Review: Elsie pumps with enamel heel
What: Elsie pumps with enamel heels by J.Crew
Material: 100% suede outer, 100% leather lining and sole
Quality: Excellent! I love the rose ash color, very autumnal. The enamel heels are thinner than usual, very pointy but oh so pretty and manageable. No toe cleavage.
Fit: True to size
Pros: The pretty color, the comfortable heel, the classic look
Cons: The price but there’s a sale going on now
Sissi’s verdict: Keeper!

What: Collection Thomas Mason for J.Crew Stacked Floral Sequin Stripe Dress
Material: 100% cotton with sequin flowers
Quality: Very Good. Cotton is great quality and light, sequins are well designed and applied on the dress
Fit: True to size to slightly large
Pros: The midi length, the pretty flowers, the interesting sleeves
Cons: Maintenance…I can already see the sequins falling off after a few wears (and washes)…
Sissi’s verdict: Keeper if you can afford it on sale.

Review: Everly satin pump
What: Everly satin pumps by J.Crew
Material: Viscose and silk outer, leather lining and man-made sole. The color is a creamy ivory white.
Quality: Excellent! The silk and viscose combination gives an edgy and shiny look to the pumps without being over the top or cheap-looking. The heels are manageable and the toe cleavage is minimal in my opinion.
Fit: True to size
Pros: The heel height, the creamy ivory color, the simple design and the sale price
Cons: Maintenance…it’s hard enough to keep white shoes clean but satin shoes seem harder to maintain when the heels are satin covered as is the case here (again personal experience).
Sissi’s verdict: Keeper on super sale. The stores were offering 75% on shoes (though I decided not to as I am after white leather versus satin).

Review: Colection Secretary Silk Blouse in pinstripe
What: Collection secretary blouse in pinstripe by J.Crew
Material: 100% silk.
Quality: Excellent! Substantial silk, you do not really need to add a cami underneath. Great feel on skin and the tie neck is nicely done. Loving the color and the subtle pink stripes.
Fit: I would say true to size. However, this is not available in tall sizes, so I sized up for length. In the combination below and above, I paired it with the pumps from 3 winters back…
