Review: Everly satin pump

Season: Summer 2015

Material: Viscose and silk outer, leather lining and man-made sole. The color is a creamy ivory white.

Quality: Excellent! The silk and viscose combination gives an edgy and shiny look to the pumps without being over the top or cheap-looking. The heels are manageable and the toe cleavage is minimal in my opinion.

Fit: True to size

Pros: The heel height, the creamy ivory color, the simple design and the sale price

Cons: Maintenance…it’s hard enough to keep white shoes clean but satin shoes seem harder to maintain when the heels are satin covered as is the case here (again personal experience).

Sissi’s verdict: Keeper on super sale. The stores were offering 75% on shoes (though I decided not to as I am after white leather versus satin).

Review: Aria Pumps by Tory

What: Aria Jeweled Pumps by Tory Burch

Season: Winter 2014?

Material: 100% satin upper, leather lining and sole

Quality: Excellent! The heel is manageable (had them on for over four hours and felt just fine), the pointed toes scream sharp and classy while the crystal bow is a sweet addition for sparkle without being tacky. Perfect! I’ve worn with a dress and a skirt so far, and received lots of compliments.

Fit: True to size

Sissi’s verdict: Keeper!! The pumps definitely elevate your outfit, and your feet 😉

Review: Collection Caged Bow pumps

I have a thing for ankle-strap shoes and booties and the caged bow pumps by J.Crew looked too good to pass on. My review below.

What: Collection Caged Bow pumps by J.Crew

Season: Winter 2014

Material: Satin and suede upper, 100% leather lining and sole. Some elastic fabric to tie the shoes

Quality: Very good, as far a material goes. Was not too crazy about he tying fabric, just seemed off to me. The shoes are gorgeous otherwise, I love the subtle contrast between the navy satin againts the black suede. And the caged look makes the pair stand out.

Fit: True to size. Loved the heel height , the caged look…very cute, but the tying ribbon…

Sissi’s verdict: I just could not get past the tying ribbon…seemed like some type of elastic material and it was a deal break. I would advise to substitute the ribbon for something else, maybe some leather lacets. At that price, I decided to return. Do you have these cute pumps? Please share!
